Centre for Democratic Engineers' Nepal (CDEN) is an independent Non-Government Organization of Nepalese Democratic Engineers, registered under the Organization Registration Act 2034 of the Government of Nepal. It was established in 2065. Today, it represents about more than 3500 democratic engineers, belonging to various engineering disciplines including architects, civil, electrical, mechanical, electronics, etc. and coming from the public & private sector economies. CDEN is governed by an elected Executive Council of 18 members, led by the President of the organization for a tenure of two years. CDEN's mandate include promoting fellowship goodwill and cooperation assistance among the Nepalese engineers, safe guarding their rights & interests and make the road map of Prosperous Nepal through the skills, capacity and efficiency of group of democratic engineers who are under the umbrella of CDEN.

Moreover, CDEN is a well wisher organization of Nepali Congress Party since 2066. Five delegates from CDEN always participate in the National Convention of Nepali Congress. CDEN is also the advisory body of Nepali Congress in building Prosperous Nepal.

Objectives

  • To globalize all national and international Nepalese Democratic Engineers under the organization and conduct different programs on recent issues of engineering community.
  • To promote fellowship goodwill & cooperation assistance among Nepalese Engineers safeguarding their rights and interests.
  • To act as a Social Engineer and provide required suggestions & recommendations to the Nepalese society in the field of economic growth & infrastructural growth of the nation.
  • To provide technical assistance & guidance to Nepali Congress Party for making views related to physical and economic development programs of the country.
  • To coordinate with different professional organizations who works in safeguarding rights and interests of engineers.
